SWAMIYE SARANAM AYYAPPA SWAMIYE SARANAM AYYAPPA

PANOLI SRI AYYAPPA TEMPLE is situated at Kavumbhagam of Kolassery Road, about 3 km from Thalassery bus stand.The temple has the typical structure of Kerala temples.The 'Sreekovil' is surrounded by 'Chuttampalam' 'Thitappally'and ' Manikkinar' are provided.

DEITIES

The chief Deity is Dharmasastha,accompanied by His wife Prabha and son Sathyaka.The idols are 'chalana vigrahas' in the form of 'Salagramas' in 'krishnasila'. Dharmasastha is the son of Lord Shiva and Mohini,a feminine manifestation of Lord Vishnu.Lord Ayyappa, worshipped at Sabarimala as a brahmachari is an inearnation of Dharmasastha.Lord Ganapathy and Lord Shiva are worshipped as 'Upadevathas'.There is also a 'Nagasankalpa' adjoining the temple.
